The Capuchin Cycle at an exhibition in Clam-Gallas Palace

One of rare late-medieval paintings from the Capuchin Collections was loaned to the exhibition Six Hundred Years of Jan Hus and Husite Tradition in Prague History.

The image is part of the so-called. Capuchin cycle - a group of 14 panel paintings, portraits of the apostles, Christ, the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist, whose creation is placed until 1410. The Capuchin Province have these paintings on the long term loan in the National Gallery, so the entire Cycle can be viewed in the permanent exhibition of Czech medieval art at St. Agnes Convent. From Friday, September 25 until January 24, 2016 will be one of these paintings loaned in the Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague on the exhibition project associated with Jan Hus anniversary.
